Land Eagle Gallery

Contemporary Fine Art of Taos Pueblo & Regional Native American Artists

Welcome to Land Eagle Gallery

Land Eagle Gallery opened its doors on September 22nd, 2007 at its new location in the historic Art District of downtown Taos, New Mexico. With the sole purpose of representing Contemporary Fine Art of Taos Pueblo along with Fine Art by other regional Native American Artists.

The gallery began with the intentions of self representation and promotion of work by Gary J. Lujan, whom formally signs his work as Land Eagle. Land Eagles work has been highly sought after by many collectors throughout the country, as well as having a strong reach into the international market. Collected by many in places such as Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, The Hague and into the Far East of Tokyo, Japan.

This wonderful endeavor of self promotion, then sprouted into an idea of also promoting the arts by fellow tribal members of Taos Pueblo. Representing works by award winning Clay Sculpture artist, Sharon DryFlower Reyna. In photography, Bruce Gomez, and also award winning and SWAI fellowship recipient Ira Lujan producing glass sculpture. As a part of our culture, the sound of drums and song have carried the message of who we are. To encapsulate that message through flute. We have the privilege of having our father Black Hill, provide us with the beautiful sounds of the Native American Flute.

With much anticipation, Land Eagle gallery has also included the work of Southern Colorado watercolor artist Carla Romero, whose works have been highly collected for her winter mountain scenes and graceful images of Taos Pueblo blanketed with snow.

To include in its growing list of award winning artists, such as the work of Standing Rock-Sioux artist Carl Winters, Comanche Native Nocona Burgess, Okhay Owingeh glass artist Robert "Spooner" Marcus.

In rounding out the various mediums of art represented, Land Eagle gallery has put together a wonder group of jewelers from various tribes. One in particular is the work of Althea Cajero, who represents the beautiful cultures of Acoma Pueblo and Santo Domingo. Her works are meticulously detailed with precious gems such as Opal, Lapis, and Turquoise.

A walk through Land Eagle Gallery, will truly inspire and envelope you in the culture of Taos Pueblo along with the unique elements of creativity by each individual.
