Sharon Dryflower, is a member of the Taos Pueblo tribe, the second of four daughters born in 1949 to Reycita and Mike Redshirt Reyna both of Taos Pueblo.
Since completing her education from the prestigious Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sharon has been creating works in clay, through forms such as pottery vessels, to intricately detailed clay sculpture. Her works can be found in private and corporate collections world wide, and have been included into the collections of notable museums such as the Eiteljorg Museum, the Denver Museum, Museum of Anthropology University of Kansas and the Millicent Rogers Museum.
To date, Sharon Dryflower has participated in many juried shows throughout the United States, shows such as the Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum Art Market, and the Eight Northern Pueblo's Art Market. With much anticipation for the future and works yet to come, Sharon Dryflower will continue to represent the proud culture of Taos Pueblo through her work. |
